Hello, and welcome to R.A.Matheson's website. This space is a portal for all of my creative outlets including my music, my poetry, my novels, essays, and other writings. Please visit the links to the left to explore my various creative outlets. I am sure you will find something you like, whether it is poetry, prose, philosophical essays, discussions about atheism, or my music.
Here's a little bit about me. I graduated high school in 1995, and spent a few years doing data entry, singing in a band, and DJing at raves. I joined the Air Force in 1999 and got out late January of 2005. I'm glad to be out as it didn't go well with my pacifist philosophy. I was in a much different place in my life and personal philosophy when I joined.
I've been writing short stories since I was about seven, and writing poetry since I was about fourteen. I've been involved in making music since the age of about seventeen. As far as musical tastes go, I listen to everything from classical to death metal. I feel that this is reflected in my music, which ranges from quiet piano pieces and ambient soundscapes, to loud industrial/electronic noise.
I am currently finishing up my B.A. degree to teach English Literature for High-School kids. I will graduate December of 2007.
